内容简介：The German economy today is one of the largest and most advanced in the world. But how did it get that way? The following presentation will describe the rise of the German economy in the 19th-century, focusing on the transition from an agricultural to a commercial and industrial society. At the same time, I will use the example of Germany to illustrate what it means to study Western economic history and political economy.
